I wish I could say I’m over it. But I’m not.
2 weeks have passed since we went to Coba Taqueria in Amsterdam North, and I’m still amazed by the explosion of tastes I had that night.
After more than a year that I had this place saved into my “To go” list, we finally made it, and we celebrated Cinco De Mayo properly. Coba didn’t disappoint our expectations. It exceeded them.
Coba is a space-time-open door connecting the Netherlands with a very authentic part of Mexico. We tried different kinds of tacos, and each one of them was incredibly delicious.
If there, don’t expect to receive cutlery. Everything you need is your own hands, and believe me, you’ll forget table etiquette for this time and, I’m 100% sure, you’ll lick your fingers until the very last drop of lime juice!
And if the food wasn’t enough to convince the diners about the authenticity (which is impossible)… then the vibes, the music, the candles the staff and the building itself, are even more enhancing the Mexican experience. Coba is mostly a taqueria, and although the menu is not extensive, what they do, they do great!
One last mention needs to go to the cocktails. Who knows me, knows that Margarita is my favourite cocktail and that I do also love to criticise the places where Margaritas are not properly served (from taste to the glass). So extra points to Coba for serving me a fantastic Tommy’s Margarita! 🍸
